"Nothing I have experienced nor performed has given the benefits and results that this one time treatment has. The experience to date with the AtlasPROfilax® treatment is that my atlas has maintained proper alignment and function. I have felt GREAT ! The chronic pain at the base of my skull is gone. I am more balanced and empowered in my life...”
Most people suffer from a mis-aligned Atlas without realising that their postural imbalance and common aches and pains may have a quick and simple solution through a correction of their Atlas.
The revolutionary method AtlasPROfilax® developed by R. C. Schumperli between 1993 and 1996, realigns the top vertebra in the neck, the Atlas or C1, by a very specific and unique correction of the soft-tissue that holds the Atlas in place.
Optimal health and correct posture (standing or walking) were only concepts to the Swiss born Rene-Claudius Schumperli for most of his life. Mr. Schumperli in his early years had fractured his first cervical vertebrae: the Atlas. He then suffered for what seemed to be an endless period of time. Like many people, neither traditional nor alternative medicines were able to relieve his pain.
Having tried numerous therapies, R. C. Schumperli at best only benefited from temporary relief. Out of despair and without any real solution, R. C. Schumperli, who had developed skills and knowledge trying to fight his disability and pain, decided to study the spine position from a new angle and developed the AtlasPROfilax® method. Doing so, R. C. Schumperli found out that the Atlas vertebra is misaligned in a vast majority of people and that it can be safely and permanently realigned back into its original position thanks to this simple procedure.
This picture shows a misaligned Atlas to the left side. The rotation causes a reduction in the diameter of the aperture at the base of the skull and vertebral canal. This disrupts the normal flow of information between the brain and body through the vertebral and carotid arteries, and the lymphatic system, the cerebrospinal fluid, the meningeal system and the spinal cord.
This picture shows a relocated Atlas bone.
The Atlas carries not only the skull, but also facilitates SUSPENSION, BALANCE and CONTROL of the human spine and skeletal system. A luxated atlas can cause significant adverse changes to the posture. The results are symptoms such as neck pain, stiff neck, back pain, lumbago, herniated disc(s), scoliosis, jammed spinal nerves, scoliotic pelvic, pain in the hip joints, knee pain, and other maladies of the knee, difference in leg length, etc…..
One example of a major change to the posture caused by a misaligned Atlas is the scoliotic pelvis.
HOW DOES A DISLOCATED ATLAS AFFECT THE BODY?
Extensive research demonstrates that the importance of the upper neck concerning our health and emotional balance. The Atlas is, in many cases, out of place, rotated forward and left, thus causing a variety of problems.
A dislocated Atlas can cause significant adverse changes to the posture. The spine can be compared to a chain. When the first link is twisted each link down to the last turns thereby disrupting the rest of the chain. The whole back bone tries to compensate for such unbalance. The results may be symptoms such as neck pain, stiff neck, back pain, lumbago, herniated disc, scoliosis, jammed spinal nerves, scoliotic pelvis, pain in the hip, joints, knee pain, meniscus, and a variety of other symptoms.
Also when the Atlas is misaligned and the spinal column is unbalanced, the central nervous system is not able to function at its best.
The neck is the passage for the nerves, veins, arteries, cerebrospinal fluid and the spinal canal through which are transmitted all information between the brain and the various organs. Dislocation of the Atlas may thus, according to its degree of misalignment, put the spinal cord, cranial nerves and other nerve channels under constant pressure. The reduction of the opening of spinal canal (foramen magnum) affects the proper communication between the brain and the organs. It may also result in neurological disorders due to the pressure on the lower part of the brainstem which deals with vital functions. Also, due to the connection of our vertebrae to the energetic pathways of our internal organs and emotional patterns, such a twist of the spine is ableto unbalance the psyche.
